Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on the 26th of March on the 26th of March, 1991. She is an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. Dreamville Records released her debut album titled Pho in the month of October 2016 where she started to get recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio album came out on May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox first released her music on the internet in 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013, Five Finger Discount. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound, as well as her mixtape, which she released herself, Five Finger Discount. Sweat It is included on Omen's Elephant Eyes album, which was released on July 21 2015. In the following year, her music was circulating all over the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to work with him on some possible references for Rihanna. The 8th of December was the day she revealed that she had officially signed by Dreamville Records. Backseat is a song that she recorded with Cozz on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II. Her Pho EP was released on her debut EP, on the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017, in which she accompanied by EarthGang. The singer also performed in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus together with Bas the label's co-founders. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018, which was released on July 16th, 2018. A music video was later released in September. Then, in November, she released her singles forty Shades of Choke & Grampa. In November 2013 she released No One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, February 26, 2019 for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured with Cole on the Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. In February 2019 the video music for the song was released. The track has garnered over 3 million YouTube views in just a single week. In December 2018, she was part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
