In the years following her time in high school, she enrolled at the University of Arizona and was recognized as a three-time All American pitcher as well as a first-baseman. The year 2001 was the year her Wildcats team was awarded the title of National Champion, and again in 2002 she won the Honda Award for the best softballer of the nation.
